Hyde Park Baptist Church Philosophy The Hyde Park Baptist Church Baseball Camp is designed to teach children the fundamentals of the game of baseball. This will be done by teaching the basic skills in group settings and then using those skills learned, in games and activities. Our focus is to improve the baseball player with the basics, hitting, fielding, catching and understanding their role on the field. Players of all abilities are welcomed. Like anything we do, (in sports as well as other areas of our life) practice improves our game. Once we have learned the basics of the game many other aspects seem to follow.
Campers will learn in group settings, set up by age and skill level. Different types of baseball “stations” will challenge all campers as they rotate through different skills of baseball.
We here at Hyde Park Baptist Church truly believe in putting God first in our life, and then many other things including baseball, fall into place. As we do in our Baseball League and Soccer League, a Bible challenge will be given each day from God’s Word. Date & Time: April 18th - 22nd, from 9am – 2pm Fees: $125. Church members $105. Space is limited. Sign up by April 4, 2011. Discounts: Previously participated in HPBC Baseball or Soccer League: $10 off. Multi child: $10 off each child. Equipment: Baseball shoes are optional; however sneakers are needed for rainy days. Each camper should bring their own glove, hat, and water bottle. They can bring their favorite bat if they like.
