Hyde Park Baptist Church
Soccer Camp
For 8th - 12th grades, boys and girls
August
12 - 16,
2013 from 9:00am – 12:30pm
Philosophy
The Hyde Park Baptist Church Soccer Camp is designed to teach
youth the fundamentals of the game of soccer. This will be done by teaching
the basic skills in group settings and then using those skills learned, in
games. Our focus is to improve the soccer player with the basics, trapping,
dribbling, passing and understanding their role on the field. Players of all
abilities are welcomed.
Like anything
we do, (in sports as well as other areas of our life) practice improves our
game. Once we have learned the basics of the game many other aspects seem to
follow. Small sided and full sided games emphasizing passing, moving into
open space, and anticipating the next play will help the soccer player
“learn” the game.
We here at
Hyde Park Baptist Church truly believe in putting God first in our life, and
then many other things including soccer, fall into place. As we do in our
Baseball League and Soccer League, a Bible challenge will be given each day
from God’s Word.
Fees
The cost for a week of soccer camp is $80. Fee
for church and team members of the high school soccer team is $30.
Equipment
Outdoor soccer shoes, shin guards, and sneakers for rainy

bottle.
